History

It all started with my best friend Erik. Erik bought a 1984 CJ-7 when we were both seniors in high school, and throughout high school he had nothing but problems with it but he never left it home. He never called it quits, and (this is my FAVORITE story) even when his entire driveline fell apart on the way to high school graduation, he still towed it home and had it running a few days later. I didn't understand at the time why he kept that Jeep around, but after helping him fix it a few times and taking it to my first Jeep Jamboree, I realized exactly why he kept it around. Jeeps are GREAT! They never run out of things for you to do. Whether it's lifting, trimming, flexing, painting, bondo-ing, or just tuning - there is always a project.

I bought my first Jeep after my freshman year of college. It was a 1991 Wrangler, and was the first automobile that I had ever owned. I loved it, but unfortunately for me, it was just not the right time in my life to own a vehicle that that only occationally had heat, leaked in the rain, sat four, had no trunk space, and guzzled gas. I was a student in Boston, and if you have ever experienced a day of minus 40 degrees with the wind chill, you know that heat comes in handy.

I decided to part with my beloved "Red Devil" over Spring Break of my Sophomore year, but before selling it, I bought another Jeep; a 1998 XJ Cherokee Classic. I loved that Jeep every day I drive it, but there was something about having a roof and doors that just didn't sit right with me. I replaced my Cherokee with a 2004 TJ Wrangler Rubicon.
