RB1 Navigation Radio Installation
with iPod Integration
I've always felt that there was a need for a good GPS/Navigation System in a vehicle, but I have never had one installed. I wanted the system to be well integrated into the vehicle and secure so that it wouldn't get stolen. More importantly than the navigation, though, I have been waiting for proper iPod integration into any vehicle's stereo system. Thanks to Mopar's iPod Integration Kit and the Mopar RB1 Navigation Radio, I now have both.
The instructions to follow are from my experiences installing the Mopar RB1 Navigation Radio and the Mopar iPod Integration Kit into my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I have borrowed some of the graphics from the actual installation manuals and added some of my own photography as well .
Just to tease at what this will look like when it is finished, here is a before and after shot. There are many more pictures at the end of the installation.
